Drafting and Plan

My client and I decided that the first design is what I will create and it will be a full size product. This is the final design:SUPER DETAILED PENCIL DISPENSER       Plan for full sized product:

Step # Step Description Time taken: Diagram
1: I will get a piece of plywood and cut it into four rectangles with the dimensions of : 200mm x 80mm using a hand saw.(the piece of plywood should be 10 mm thick) About 20 minutes  Screen Shot 2013-10-08 at 5.18.22 PM
2: I will cut two 90 mm x 90 mm squares out of plywood using a hand saw.(plywood should be 10 mm thick) About 10 minutes  Screen Shot 2013-10-08 at 5.18.35 PM
3: I will find two wooden rods with a diameter of around 10-20 mm and cut them so that they are 1600 mm long. About 5 minutes  Screen Shot 2013-10-08 at 5.18.44 PM
4: Next I will find some balsa wood and cut a rectangle with a craft knife. This rectangle should be 60mm x 1800mm. About 5 minutes  Screen Shot 2013-10-08 at 5.18.48 PM
5: Once I have gathered all these parts, I will cut one of the plywood rectangles in half lengthwise, so that it is 200 mm x 40 mm. About 10 minutes  Screen Shot 2013-10-08 at 5.18.54 PM
6. Next, I will take another one of the rectangles I made in step 1 and I will drill two holes into it. These holes should be approx. 10 mm from the sides and approx. 65 mm from the top. It should look something like the diagram to the right:I will use a drill for this step. About 5-10 minutes  Screen Shot 2013-10-08 at 5.18.59 PM
7. I will then take another one of the rectangles and I will cut small rectangle in the center of trectangle. The rectangle should have the dimensions of: 110 mm x 20 mmI will use a coping saw to cut this. About 10 minutes  Screen Shot 2013-10-08 at 5.19.05 PM
8. Next, I will make sure that the rods which I made in step 3 can fit through the holes when placed diagonally, if they do not fit, I will increase the holes size a little bit at a time until they fit. About 3 minutes  Screen Shot 2013-10-08 at 5.19.10 PM
9 Next, I will get a glue gun and plug it in and wait for it to heat up, if it takes a long time to heat up, I can file the wood pieces I made  while I wait. About 5 minutes  Screen Shot 2013-10-08 at 5.19.31 PM
10 When the glue gun is heated, I will CAREFULLY glue all of rectangles together which I created in step 1, except for the rectangle which I cut in half.I will glue them together in a way similar to the diagram:(the diagram is a side view) (the rectangle on the top is the one with the rectangle cut into it) About 15 minutes  Screen Shot 2013-10-08 at 5.19.43 PM
11. I will stick the two squares I made to the sides of the rectangles so that it becomes a box, except missing one face.I will use the glue gun to stick them. About 10 minutes  Screen Shot 2013-10-08 at 5.19.48 PM
12. Once I have glued all of those together and they have dried, I will cut 20 mm off of the rectangle that I cut in half and will put it in the last part of the box to make sure it fits. About 5 minutes  Screen Shot 2013-10-08 at 5.19.54 PM
13. Then I will insert the rods through the holes in the back diagonally so that the side which is lower than  the other is inside the box. About 2 minutes  Screen Shot 2013-10-08 at 5.20.06 PM
   14. I will cut an inclined plane out of plywood, it will need to fit inside of the box under the rods. It should be about 180 mm x 60 mm with a  rise of about 20 mm About 20 minutes  Screen Shot 2013-10-09 at 12.03.08 PM
15. I will mark the place on the rods where the box is in comparison with the rods, I will mark them with pencil, later, on these spaces, I will cut four circles out of balsa wood using a craft knife, and I will make them with a radius of about 20 mm. I will cut a hole in the middle of the circles (the hole should be the width of the rods) and I will stick two of them onto one side of the rod by the mark I made using a glue gun, I will then slide the rods back into place and will slide the other circle onto the other side of the rod. I will do this for both rods.In the end, it should look something like the diagram. About 25-30 minutes  Screen Shot 2013-10-09 at 12.27.02 PM
16. Then, while the rods are still there, I will put the last rectangle piece I have and put it in the last space which is free, it should fill up about half of the front face of the box. About 3 minutes  Screen Shot 2013-10-09 at 12.26.37 PM
17. I will glue the front of the box (newly placed) to the rods. I will make sure I glue it carefully so that no glue falls gets onto any other part of the product. About 10 minutes  Screen Shot 2013-10-09 at 12.26.45 PM
18. I will stick the balsa wood platform to the two rods using the glue gun. About 5 minutes  Screen Shot 2013-10-08 at 7.24.05 PM
